“Perseverance and determination win over all. This belief has aided me throughout my life. During my forbidding years all the way through middle school. I did not realize the value of determination.I had concluded that it was my I.Q. that was lowering my grades.
However, during 8th grade, I began to compete with my peers academically. Soon my determination helped me rise from barely reaching class rank 25 out of 30 students, all the way to class rank one.
I began to realize my vision of not just making it, but to be among the best. Today, I still carry this vision with me. I don’t settle for just having an A, rather I look for ways to improve myself.
In order to be exemplary, I must aim for perfect scores. A bird cannot fly with one wing heavier than the other. In order to attain my wings, and soar into the sky, I need to have a balance of leadership and academic skills…”
